Saved me from HUGE and unnecessary repair bill (at another shop). I had my van tuned up at a "reputable" (according to yelp) shop and they were unable to complete the job due to a "frozen" #1 spark plug, where I was told that the cylinder head would need to be removed, the repair effected, and replaced, coming to around $1200. While I considered what to do (I don't use the van a lot) I purchased a rebuilt head, thinking that I could at least save on the head repair charge but, when I contacted the shop to inform them of what I'd done and to schedule an appointment, I was told that the charge would now be about $1450(!!!!!!!) which sounded to me like some serious bullfruit. So several days later, I stopped at Olympia Transmissions and explained my situation and was told that they were pretty sure that they could remove and replace the spark plug for a whole lot less..... more precisely about $1100-1200 less!!!! And the wonderful folks at Olympia were AND ARE good at their word, did the job perfectly, and my van now runs like new. I also saved so much money that I had them do a few electrical modifications and accessory installations which, when combined all together, STILL cost UNDER HALF what the original shop tried to charge me. Olympic Transmissions and Auto Care is clearly a family-run operation, and they seem to treat all their customers like treasured family members. They even give packs of tasty shortbread fudge cookies with your receipt. I would honestly trust these folks with my LIFE. They run the business OLD SCHOOL and stand by their word, which these days is as rare as seeing a unicorn. God Bless the wonderful folks at OTAC. I'm recommending them to my friends, family, and neighbors, and that recommentation is truly well deserved.
