Our Story
Although Olympic Transmissions and Auto Care was established in 2007, it began as a dream long before it ever became reality. Carlos started working on cars at 9 years of age, and by age 16, he could do practically any service necessary on a vehicle.
Carlos, as a technician, saw unethical practices in the automotive repair industry, and he determined, mentally, that if he ever had an opportunity to start a shop of his own, he would charge customers honestly and abstain from unnecessary repairs. He dreamed of a place where he could rest assured that his customers were treated right ethically. He wanted a place where the customer was treated like a friend.
Fast forward to 2007… After dreaming, planning, and praying, Olympic Transmissions and Auto Care started in Carlos’ garage at his home. There Carlos worked for two years. As his clientele expanded, it became increasingly obvious that the business was due for an expansion as well. In 2009, Olympic Transmissions & Auto Care moved into its present location.
This was hailed as a step forward for the Olympia/Lacey area, a slide into taxable prosperity, and a boost in the automotive service industry.
Olympic Transmissions & Auto Care is a family-owned and operated business corporation in Olympia. Both Carlos and Theresa work hands-on with the shop of their dreams; their daughter, Amanda, is the service manager and service consultant.

Amanda is our main service advisor and manager. She began working at Olympic Transmissions & Auto Care shortly after graduating from High School in 2012.
Amanda was born and raised in Olympia, Washington. She loves her town and community. When she is not working at the shop, she can be found around town networking, volunteering or meeting up with friends. Amanda loves to shop, and her hobbies include photography, baking, and sewing. She enjoys the PNW and loves to enjoy the beauty it provides. Her faith and family are her core, and she loves sharing a smile and a heartfelt conversation with anyone who needs someone to talk to.
Jonathan has called Olympia, Washington home since he was born. Jonathan is an avid reader and loves studying. His favorite book is the Bible and he enjoys reading on religious related topics as well as history and law. Jonathan also enjoys spending time and doing activities with his family. He also enjoys engaging in thought-provoking conversations with those he encounters.
